Submit your housing contract

Fall 2024-Winter 2025       

Fall 2024-Winter 2025 housing contracts are currently available for newly admitted students who will be incoming freshmen in the fall 2024 semester. This contract is for the entire academic year (fall and winter semesters combined). Incoming freshmen who are interested in living on campus for the fall 2024-winter 2025 academic year must submit a housing contract online. When filling out the housing contract, students have the opportunity to list their first and second preference for building assignment. Assignments will be made in the order in which contracts are received and validated. As such, while we will make every effort to honor building preferences, we are unable to guarantee space in a particular building as we adhere to this priority order.

An optional roommate matching period will be provided for incoming freshmen in June 2024 for those who have submitted their housing contract prior to June 1, 2024. Instructions on how to participate in this process will be provided to incoming residents in May 2024 via 400online.net email accounts.

Students can anticipate receiving their room and roommate assignments in July 2024. Notifications of assignments will be sent via 400online.net email accounts.

Under 18?
If you are under the age of 18 on the day you submit your contract, your parent or guardian's electronic signature is required before your contract can be processed. The parent or guardian you identify as your emergency contact will receive an email with a link and a verification code that must be entered online to complete your housing contract submission. The electronic signature can be completed using a mouse, trackpad, or touch screen (if the device is touch-screen enabled).

Winter 2025        

Winter 2025 housing contracts will open at 8 a.m. on November 1, 2024. This contract is for the winter 2025 semester only. Incoming freshmen who have been admitted for the winter 2025 semester, and who are interested in living on campus for the winter 2025 semester, must submit a housing contract online. For full instructions on how to submit a contract, please click on the How to Apply tab on this page. We also have a video tutorial on how to submit a housing contract available for your convenience.

Please note that you must be enrolled in at least one winter 2025 course to be eligible for winter housing. Assignments will be made in the order in which contracts are received and validated. Notifications of housing assignments will be sent to incoming residents via their 400online.net email addresses.

You must have been enrolled in at least one winter 2025 course, or be enrolled in at least one summer 2025 course or fall 2025 course, to be eligible for summer housing. Commuter and transfer students who are interested in living on campus for the fall 2024-winter 2025 academic year must submit a housing contract online. Students who submit a fall 2024-winter 2025 housing contract between February 1 and March 1, 2024 will be eligible to participate in roommate matching and room selection periods. Full details are available on our Current Student Sign-Up page

  1. Log in to the portal using your NetID and password.
  2. Click on the Applications tab, and then choose the contract period for which you are applying.
  3. Carefully review the Terms and Conditions. Remember that when you agree to the Terms and Conditions, you are providing an electronic signature that states you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions exactly as they are written in the contract.
  4. Complete the Student Preference page.
  5. Once you have completed these steps, you will reach a housing contract confirmation page.

After you submit your contract, additional information will be sent to your OU email address as it becomes available. We recommend that all current and future residents check their OU email accounts regularly.

To cancel your on-campus housing, you will need to complete a Contract Release Form online. Please do so by following the instructions shown below.

Please note that cancellation charges may apply, as outlined in the terms and conditions of the housing contract.

  1. Log into the My Housing portal.

  2. Click the Contracts/Forms drop-down menu, then click on the contract you would like to cancel.

  3. From the What Would You Like to Do with This Application? drop-down menu that appears, select Cancel/Withdraw This Application, then click Submit.

  4. When prompted, confirm that you want to cancel your contract by selecting Yes, Cancel This Application from the drop-down menu that appears.

  5. Select the reason you are cancelling your contract.

  6. In the Add Any Additional Notes box, provide any additional information you feel is important, then click Submit.

  7. You will then reach a confirmation page for the contract release, and notice that the word Cancelled now appears at the end of the canceled contract in the Contracts/Forms drop-down menu.
